Here’s What Happens When You Ask White Actors to Act Whiter (Flip the Script)

This 2015 video produced by Mic, is part of the series “Flip the Script with Liz Plank.” Mic is a U.S. internet and media company that launched in 2011 and was designed to cater to millennials. This web series was produced by Liz Plank to confront social issues and challenge traditional assumptions people have about the world. In this video Plank and actor Arturo Castro discuss stereotypes of Latinx people in the media, before setting up a fake audition where they ask white actors to “act whiter.”
