The 2021 documentary of Rita Moreno follows the life and 70+ year career of the beloved Latina actress. Moreno starred in the 1961 film West Side Story and over the years has earned a Grammy, Oscar, a Tony and an Emmy. Throughout her rise to stardom, this trailer shows how Moreno had to constantly fight racism and sexism within the industry, and was oversexualized and denied a voice. The trailer includes photos and videos of Moreno throughout her career as well as interviews with fellow actors and creators and Moreno herself. The trailer seeks to show how her story of facing adversity and building success continues to inspire generations of Latinx artists looking to make it in Hollywood.
